SURPRISE PROPOSAL

A few weeks prior to this day, I received an email from Liam, saying he and his girl Addie were going to fly out to LA from Charleston to see John Mayer. Which was really just a rouse to mask the bigger surprise— his proposal.

After a few phone calls and detailed planning, Liam was set on proposing on one of the most beautiful lookouts in SoCal, Point Dume. Not the easiest location to pull off a surprise proposal— especially considering we had never met!

I arrived an hour early to make sure I had the entire area covered. Heart pounding, I saw them pull up in their car. As they made their way to the hill, I started the treck up and they followed. Liam knew who I was and that I’d be wearing a yellow backpack, so as they followed me, Addie had no idea I was actually there for her proposal! As we made our way to the top of Point Dume, I let them pass me to get to the perfect spot for Liam to drop to one knee. MY WORD, the anticipation was killing me!! It takes one split second to capture this moment, and I didn’t want to miss it.
